3 Ways To Glam Up Your Holidays

style | 19 December 2016

The holiday season is the time of the year to go all out on your fashion looks.

K and I are hosting another round of parties again this year for our family and friends and every year it’s a hassle trying to decide what to wear. For family parties, I tend to keep things simple yet elegant. But at parties with our friends, I always try to glam it up a bit!

Here are three ways to glam up your holiday look!

Holiday Look Satin

2./ Velvet

If there’s one fabric that has been making heads turn all year, it’s velvet. We’re falling in love with velvet blazers, pyjama combo’s, dresses. There’s something about velvet that makes you feel sophisticated and regal almost.

The thing with velvet though is that it can make you look older than you are. Pair your velvet with a low-cut lace top to create a more modern look or go velvet all the way and rock it with some jewels and a bold red lip!

Good luck and happy holidays guys!

Holiday Look Satin

1./ Satin

This holiday season, satin is the way to go. Not only does the shiny fabric lift your spirits (am I the only one?), it is also adds a little bit of Hollywood glam to your holidays.

The difficult thing about satin though is that it shows your curves – all of it! If you have a curvy body and you’re confident enough, wear an elegant fitted satin dress. If not (in my case), look for a satin dress or top that is loose enough to wear comfortably. And preferably with princess-like off shoulder sleeves like the top I’m wearing here (how dreamy is this?).

3./ Sequins

If it all doesn’t work out, you can always go for a sequined look. Sequined looks add an instant glam to your look. The shiny specks and glittery facade make it the perfect outfit choice.

There’s no rules to a good sequined look actually – I’d say go for it!
