Afternoon Tea London Conrad

Afternoon Tea London

When I first came to London, one of the things on my to-do list was to do a proper English afternoon tea. There are loads of places where you can enjoy a good afternoon tea in London. But somewhere on a late Thursday afternoon in October, I found myself wandering the halls of the Conrad. From the entrance, you could already see the beautifully lit Emmeline’s Lounge. Hues of blues and

purple filled the room. The place was decorated in a stunning Winter Wonderland theme, which went perfect with Conrad’s new Snow Queen Afternoon Tea. From London cured smoked salmon blini with caviar and lemon crème fraîche, to prawn cocktails and salted butter shortbread with yogurt cream, frosted blueberries and sugar shards, we were treated to a delicious

(and gorgeous, mind you) selection of savories and pastries. We continue with a chocolate and pearl spongepraline ganache dipped in chocolatea blackcurrant and cardamom cake with crushed glittering merengue and some more and end with, naturally, scones served with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry jam. Never mind that I had a diet to watch – I finished all (and some more).

And by the way, to all my US readers out there – happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy the holidays! Afternoon Tea London

  • This all looks absolutely delectable! I’m really hungry now and will have to comfort myself with iced coffee (I know, not even close!). While watching the latest Fargo episode – now we’re talking 😉
    Have a fab weekend, Igrien!

    • Haha, iced coffee is also good! I’m sitting in a cafe in Amsterdam right now with an iced latte. It’s been ages since I’ve had a good latte!
How did you like the latest Fargo episode? 😀

      • That iced latte sounds excellent!
Fargo is fantastic this season, I like it even better than last year (even without Billy Bob). Things are getting really suspenseful! The dark humor is consistently great 🙂 . Did you catch that last episode (8 I believe)? I didn’t want to include references in case you haven’t yet seen it.

        • I did! Man, the episode was full of twists and turns it kept me at the edge of my seat! I love the writers for bringing us another good season. There just aren’t a lot of good shows anymore..

  • Everything look so delicious and lovely 🙂
