I’ve been back to Amsterdam so many times in the two months I’ve been living here that it almost feels like I have never really left the place. If I didn’t know any better I’d say my little hometown is too hard for me to ever let go. Which holds some truth to it I must admit, even if only marginally. The last time I was in Amsterdam I had the pleasure of shooting at Amsterdam’s INK Hotel, Hosokawa, Tunes Bar (which will be up this week) GIN Neo Bistro & Wines.
I somehow, miraculously, managed to cram all of it into three short days in Amsterdam. I promised myself to schedule in some time for actual breathing the next time I’d be in Amsterdam. A promise I of course, stubbornly, had to break when I planned this week’s trip. I don’t know how I’ll manage this time and god knows all the eating won’t help my wish to lose weight before my 30th birthday (which will come sooner than I’d want and
by the way – wishful thinking does not help you lose weight – at all). But with lots of coffee (how else is anyone ever able to meet any deadline) and positive thinking (which actually does get you somewhere), I’m sure the week will be over before I know it. I’ll be back in London again, sipping my English tea from my English tea cup, pinky finger pointed up and all. Because that’s how the Brits do it. I think.

I went out in the morning for this shot, half-regretting my choice for bare arms and ultra thin fabrics. It was windy, cold and within ten minutes after the shoot it started pouring (lucky us). On most photos you’ll see me holding my arms for warmth while trying to put on a smile for the camera. There’s one frame where you see me chasing after my hat that got blown off by the wind – charming sight I’m telling you.
The things we do for a good shot. I can’t say I’m looking forward to doing the winter shots in London. It’ll prove to be challenging I’m sure.
