This year, Dom Pérignon launches the Vintage 2009. Due to the ripeness of the grape, Dom Pérignon decided to release the 2009 one year ahead of the 2008 champagne. The much anticipated Vintage 2009 comes out in a limited edition, with its packaging beautifully designed by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka.
The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2009 is fruity and fragrant on the nose – with notes of grapefruit zest, white peach and nectarine. Its flavor is rich and voluptuous with a silky finish.
The launch this year was celebrated at the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam. Where chef Schilo van Coevorden (not a stranger here!) designed a menu to complement the Vintage 2009 flavors. From a plateau of fruits de mer to a sweet Asian black cod with miso and Hida gyu wagyu beef – the dishes were a great pairing with the Vintage 2009 and shone as much as the champagne did.
At EUR 180 per bottle, this is a champagne worthy for special occasions!
