FALL ESSENTIAL: THE CAMEL COAT

style | 7 November 2016

For the longest of time, I’ve struggled with finding the right fall coat. Though my trench coat cuts it well on days well above 10 degrees Celsius, it’s not the warmest below. On my search for the perfect fall coat, I’ve time and time again gone back to the one colour that people seem to either love or hate: camel. The colour is contemporary and it’s stylish and chic!

Why You Need A Camel Coat

1.The soft sandy color goes with practically everything. Combine it with warm colors like reds and browns and you have yourself a stunning fall palette. But pair it with cooler tints like blue and purple, and you’re rocking a fashionable contrasted look.

2.A camel coat is good for every occasion. Think about it – it’s chic enough for a night out with the girls but at the same time it’s the perfect coat for work as well!

3.The almost ‘nude’ color is easy for any style. Anything will go with it. Whether you’re donning a studded glitter purse, a classic suede tote, a bright pink scarf or a metallic silver skirt, the neutral camel tone makes it so easy to dress up – even more so than black.

There seems to be no rules when it comes to wearing a camel coat. The only exception I’d say is to not wear a camel coat with other camel items. Not even the Queen could pull off an all camel outfit!

Other than that – it’s the perfect fall coat!
