After Hanoi, we travelled to Danang, where we stayed at the lovely Fusion Maia Resort. The resort is one of the best stays we’ve had so far. Not only is the staff the friendliest, the resort is also aimed at wellness and relaxation. Which was much needed after our travels to Hong Kong and Hanoi.
A stay at the resort means booking one of the stunning villas with each a private pool. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom is one to inspire your future home designs (classic marble designs, rain shower, black marble tub).
Breakfast is served in one of the resort’s dining spots, Fiving Dining Room. Start your morning with a continental breakfast buffet or opt for one of the a la carte breakfast items on the menu. I highly recommend getting a bowl of bun cha, pho or the super healthy Tropical sunshine smoothie bowl (loved this as a starter of the day!).
However, if you really want to start your day in a special way – try the resort’s destination dining options. We had breakfast on the beach one morning. With the sound of the waves and the sight of an endless horizon, it made for a magical morning!
Near the hotel
Hoi An (there’s a free shuttle bus running between the resort and their cafe in Hoi An!)
Danang Museum of Cham sculpture
Danang Dragon Bridge
My Son (take a trip to the Hindu temple site – the resort concierge can set up a tour for you)
The best feature of the resort though is their spa. You may not want to leave the resort because of it. Every guest gets to book two spa treatments a day. Treatments range from therapeutic massages to sports massages, body wraps and nail treatments. We booked our in the evening but we saw plenty of guests booking their treatments in the morning as well!
The resort promotes a healthy lifestyle and we are all for it. From their organic menus, fresh juices and wellness programs, it is all aimed to clear your mind and body for a moment.
We concluded our stay with a yoga class on the beach. Our last shot at inner peace before hitting the roads again!
