Glossier London has just opened up a pop-up shop in the city’s Covent Garden and its design is anything but ordinary. The newly opened pop-up shop is decorated in a colourful and playful floral wallpaper. For the design, the Glossier team channelled London’s flower power history to create a stunning Instagram-worthy interior. A great way to start any Covent Garden boutique. Vibrant and rich floral patterns now adorn each wall of the shop. “Florals have always been an integral component of Glossier’s visual identity,” says Kendall Latham, the Glossier senior designer. “We found a lot of parallels during our research process for Glossier London. From the textile prints of William Morris, to the Victorian-era buildings of London.”
The floral motif wallpaper is designed in shades of butter-yellows, royal-blues, cherry-reds and army-greens. And the shop’s interior design pays a subtle hommage to London with secret rooms and a large classic London rooftop (again, Instagram-worthy). To top it off, even an umbrella that is going to be sold exclusively in the Glossier London shop.
Glossier is a favourite among beauty lovers. Iconic Glossier products include the Glossier balms, the milky oil and the lipsticks and lipglosses. In 2019 they launched their Play collection, a collection bright and colourful items. The collection was a major success when it launched and the brand has since released many beauty favourites. In the New York store alone, 50.000 visitors come in every month to shop their favourite Glossier items. Now fans in Europe get to shop their favourites in London.
