When you’re in Taipei, you’re bound to stay in a hotel with a stunning design. On our recent trip to Taipei we stayed at Hotel Proverbs. Hotel Proverbs is located in a cozy neighborhood Da’an and stands out with its dark building. The interior is dark as well and features warm coppers and crystal chandeliers that decorate the place.
Rooms are small but we didn’t find it bothersome. We had too much fun playing with the Japanese washlet in the bathroom. Everything has a trendy and modern design, from the marble floors to the bath tub and chandelier above the bed.
Breakfast is served in the hotel restaurant, where you can choose a la carte dishes like congee and poached eggs on toast. This is a feature we hadn’t seen before in boutique hotels and we loved the variety of dishes on the menu. The swimming pool on the top floor is a nice relaxing area where you can have a drink and enjoy the view from the hotel. Our favorite feature is the fact that there’s a stocked fridge and pantry where you can grab a drink and snack for free on your way out.
