The Hoxton Amsterdam opened last month and it has since become Amsterdam’s latest hotspot. Rooms have been fully booked and the lounge areas are crowded with locals who come in for a drink and a bite. The hotel houses 111 rooms spread across 5 floors. The interior design has a vintage look to it with lots of warm and neutral tones. The design was done by Nicemakers, the creative duo responsible for the lovely interiors at SLA cafes in Amsterdam. Rooms include quirky details and offer great canal views. The hotel’s restaurant Lotti’s serves Italian dishes with Dutch influences. For creatives looking for a workspace, the hotel offers a meeting (and event) space, The Apartment.
What I like about the Hoxton is the no-nonsense mentality. The hotel doesn’t charge you sky-high prices for the mini-bar, telephone calls or wifi like hotels traditionally do. This new concept is slowly winning over the hearts of many travellers!
