The Kunsthaus Zurich houses one of the most important art collections in Switzerland and Europe, assembled over the years by the local
art association called Zürcher Kunstgesellschaft. The collection spans from the Middle Ages to contemporary art, with an emphasis on Swiss art. The museum’s collection includes works from Edvard Munch, Jacques Lipchitz and Alberto Giacometti, Johann Heinrich Füssli, Ferdinand Hodler among others.
I could wander here all day. And I think that I did. Of all the museums in the world, I didn’t expect Kunsthaus Zurich to have such a vast collection of all the great painters in the world. I must have sat in front of Monet’s Waterlilies painting for ages. I took photos of some of the works, hoping to create an online gallery for you guys. Anyway, if you ever are in Zurich, this is a must-visit. But in the mean time, enjoy!
Kunsthaus Zurich is open from Saturyday to Tuesday from 10AM to 6PM and on Wednesday to Thursday from 10AM to 8PM.
