London Fashion Week is officially over. These past few days I felt like Alice chasing a white rabbit down a hole to fashion wonderland. In a world of opulence and splendor, glitter and glamour, nothing is too crazy or extravagant.
I hauled my camera around the city on the first few days to catch a glimpse of some of the shows. Fashion week is not for the faint-hearted. Be prepared for some serious walking (Uber will fail you in Soho) and if you’re wearing heels, well, good luck to you. One of my highlights this season was going backstage with Face Lace before the PPQ show (see this post) – there’s something quite exhilerating about being in the middle of all the madness.
Now that it’s over, I am somewhere between feeling inspired from the creative energy surrounding fashion week and at the same time feeling like a zombie from the lack of sleep this week (seriously, you should see me now). I’m happy that it’s over but at the same time, I am missing all the people I have met these days. I miss photographing the streets of London, catching one show after another and experiencing the creative energy at The Apartment.
London, you have been kind of amazing this week.
