One of the most stunning interiors at the moment in Amsterdam is without a doubt by HIP studio for Nacarat. Located on the upper level of the newly opened Hudson’s Bay store in the city center, is Michelin star chef Ron Blaauw‘s new restaurant Nacarat. The restaurant serves Middle Eastern cuisine (a post about it will be up soon). What truly is breathtaking upon first sight though is the modern interior with a nod to the sixties by architectural design company HIP Studio. Designers Wim and Maxine Hoopman are no strangers to the chef. Having designed his other restaurant Ron Gastrobar, Ron Gastrobar Oriental and the Fat Dog previously, they know how to attract a hip and design savvy crowd. With an impressive pine-shaped dome (with a grand view over Amsterdam), adorned with golden hued light bulbs, an incredible marbled fish bone tiling (in the most stunning array of muted colors), and lush printed velvet chairs – we’re drooling all over the interior. The golden details and large leaved plants spread across the space give it a cozy and contemporary feel.
Honestly, if we could move in here – we definitely would!
