How about the sunny weather lately, can we have more of this please? This morning I woke up with rays of sun shining on my skin – what a way to wake up, no? The weather has been so on and off in the Netherlands that we forget it’s summer!

Today’s post is all about summer make up. I picked up these items recently and decided to do an editorial style shoot with it. With much reluctance, I grabbed a teaspoon to slowly carve out the product. Hitting pan was never this easy!

Jazz it up No 7 Shimmer Palette Rose

My first product is the No7 shimmer palette. This highlighter is gorgeous! It’s shimmery but applied with a light hand it creates a beautiful glow on the skin. It is pearly and has shades of pink and light bronzing colors.

Jazz it up Mac Painted Sunset

Jazz it up Isadora Bronzing Powder

I am all for reds and this MAC in Painted Sunset is absolutely a stunner. It is a bit on the orange side, which was new for me as I tend to lean slightly towards darker or pinky reds.

I generally don’t use bronzers. When I do, I dust a bronzing color lightly on the side of my cheeks, up to my temples, to create a slightly more chiseled face. Don’t overdo it though! This is a light bronzing shade by Isadora.

Painted Sunrise Mac Waterproof Mascara

In the summer, a good waterproof mascara has to be in your make up bag. This MAC ‘In extreme dimension’ mascara not only creates length and volume but also holds well after a swim. I tried this out in Benidorm. After I got back to my room, I inspected the curl in my lashes and was surprised it actually held.

Painted Sunrise No7 Perfectly Bronzed Bronzer Estee Lauder Fuchsia Lights

Painted Sunrise Caption Nail Polish

Another red lipstick I’ve been loving is Estée Lauder’s Fuchsia lights, a duo lip and cheek color. The red is a bright, almost neon, red. I don’t like bringing a whole make up case in my bag so this two-in-one has been a lifesaver!

For my nails I like bright colors in the summer but golds are always good! This one is a light gold, almost silvery shade by Caption.

Painted Sunrise Mac Slipper Orchid

Onto the boldest colors of my haul! This MAC tinted lip glass in Love you big time is one of the boldest colors I’ve tried so far. I don’t deviate from my reds, ever. This is a bright purple color that has a crazy beautiful pigment. I probably won’t wear this out a lot but it sure is a beautiful color!

In a similar shade, is MAC’s Saucy miss blush. This blush is another pigmented product! Use it with a light hand on you cheeks and it creates a beautiful pink hue.
