Amsterdam’s Dam Palace, revisited.
When you’re used to shooting inanimate objects, it becomes a daunting challenge to try and shoot portraits. Only on occasion do I shoot people and the last time I did a fashion shoot was well over a year ago.
For this shoot we decided to center around a floral theme – the trend of the season. But instead of going with your typical floral summer dresses, we wanted to create a mix of romantic florals and a raw edginess that reflects the dreamer and renegade generation of today.
We’re not a lost generation – we’re idealists, with a mission to change the world. Or leave some kind of mark before world’s end.
A shoot like this can only be realized by a joint effort of forces in the industry. In my case, I found my vision in the stunning Hieke and Daphne, both young at heart but rising talents, and my team of Melle and Kimberley, who transformed the girls into the rebellious heroes of the shoot. There’s more to come for sure.
This project has ignited in me a new passion – one I am dying to explore.
