Spring time in beauty land means bringing out colorful palettes again and playing with endless combinations of flirty lashes, soft glows and bright lips. For me, I am most looking forward to coral-colored blushes and bright cherry lips! Winter, be gone, it’s time for some color again!
For these blog posts I am always testing out numerous products so that I can show you guys some of my favorites. Here are my spring picks for now!
My perfume collection consists of mostly feminine and floral scents and the YSL Mon Paris perfume fits right into my stash! I’ve been wearing this a lot lately because it’s not too sweet and has a subtle floral tone. It’s perfect for Spring time!
I’ve been loving the Chanel Les Beiges glow compact lately. I apply the powder over my foundation for a natural glow look. There’s a subtle radiance (definitely no harsh particles) in the powder and the sheer formula makes it a very natural looking powder!
On your lips, you can allow yourself to go wild with bright spring colors! If you’re looking for a natural every-day wear lip tint, there’s the YSL tinted lip balm. The balm comes in a wide variety of colors (with a cute lip symbol in the middle). If a tinted balm is too light for you, you can go with the Bobbi Brown art sticks. They’re creamy lip tints that give you a little bit of extra color during the day. Want to bring some matte-ness to your looks? I’m loving the Lancôme matte shakers. These liquid lipsticks last a whole day and even though they’re matte, it does not dry out your lips due to the hydrating formula!
I lost my Shiseido eyelash curlers the other day so I went out to buy a new one. Somehow the Shiseido curlers aren’t sold here anymore (or I just haven’t been able to find them) so I decided to try out another brand, Tweezerman. I am familiar with their tweezers but have been hearing good things about their curlers as well. These curlers come in different eye-shapes (hallelujah)! I curl my lashes first, from the root to the ends and then apply my mascara. Lancôme is launching their new Monsieur Big mascara. If you have short and stubborn Asian lashes like me, you’ll share my frustration with mascaras! The new Lancôme mascara is a first I’ve tried in a long time that is able to hold a curl on my lashes all day and it makes my lashes so much more voluminous! I will be writing more about this soon after testing more with it!
Finally, on my cheeks I’ve been wearing the new Bobbi Brown illuminating trio palette in Peach. This photo does not do the colors justice – it’s super pigmented and the bronzer on the left and blush on the left have a beautiful golden shimmer to it!
