Belvedere held an event recently at the W Hotel for their ‘Relearn Natural’ campaign.

The rooftop at the hotel was transformed into a beautiful greenhouse and we were surrounded by little herb gardens, in the middle of the city. It felt like one of those magical summer nights on the roof.

We learned about the distillery process and how Belvedere is made out of pure ingredients. There are no additives or whatsoever. I am very conscious about what I eat and drink – I’m all for the use of natural products.

Every summer, K and I like to host parties for our friends. K is always in charge of food and I am tasked with drinks. Easy, you’d think! I always have a hard time figuring out something new. We’ve done gin & tonics loads of times already, and we’ve had our champagne and wine tastings. This year I want to do something different and focus on something I know my friends aren’t that familiar with yet. Vodka – with a herbal pairing!

Making cocktails is definitely an art and I don’t consider myself a cocktail master! But I’ve picked out simple recipes that you can make at home. You can recreate this in no time for your barbecue parties or, you know, just for a regular Wednesday on the balcony! No shaking skills needed.

Pink Grapefruit Spritz

30 ml Belvedere Pink Grapefruit

30 ml Lillet Rose

Garnish with pink grapefruit & rosemary and finish with sparkling water and tonic.

I love this because it’s fruity but it has an incredibly beautiful herbal flavour as well for contrast!

Spiced Spritz

30 ml  Belvedere

30 ml sweet vermouth

Garnish with 2 orange slices and 2 star anis. Add ice and finish with equal parts of sparkling water and tonic.

This was one of the cocktails served at the W and I thought the spiced taste was so refreshing and different from your regular ‘popular’ cocktails!
