When I stumbled on Georgian native designer Irakli Nasidze recently, I fell in love with the gorgeous sleek and feminine silhouette of his pieces. Irakli’s collections evoke a sense of surrealism and sensuality. It is Parisian chic meets a romantic escapism. His pieces are elegant and delicate but never frail. Irakli was the first Georgian ever to show at Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week. Irakli draws inspiration from the physical and mythological landscapes of his native Georgia and has worked for Christian Lacroix and has collaborated on collections with Dior, Chanel and Chopard.
Check out Irakli when you’re in Paris (at 6. Rue Villedo 75001, say hi for me if you will!). For the celebration of WuHao‘s fifth anniversary, Irakli will curate an artistic fashion event, introducing his Spring / Summer 2015 collection. Be sure to check that out at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beijing next month! In the mean time, here are some of my favourite pieces.
